In an attempt to bring more public and media attention to "Nearly There", Allan does the occasional running event in costume.
As well as being publicity stunts, Allan aims to highlight the choice able bodied people have to move and use their bodies as they wish.
Wellington Marathon - June 24th 2012
Allan will be attempting to run the Armstrong Motor Group Wellington Marathon in full motorcycle leathers and a full face motorcycle helmet, with no outside assistance!
"In the previous events I have had a very good crew of supporters, keeping me hydrated and fed. This time I'm going to be fully self sufficient. This run is to raise money and awareness for the Muscular Dystrophy Association of NZ.
